Chin, jawline and facial hair removal

Coarse hair on the chin, jawline, side face or neck can be hard to live with, and shaving or plucking makes it grow back thicker-looking and causes ingrown hairs. Electrolysis treats each follicle so the hair stops returning.

Hormonal hair and PCOS

Many of Ramya's clients come to her with facial hair linked to hormonal imbalance or PCOS, often after laser did not give lasting results. Electrolysis removes the hairs that are there; if hormones keep activating new follicles, those are treated as they appear.

For hormonal hair it helps to work with your doctor as well. Ramya will be honest with you about what to expect.

Results that stay

Ramya treated one client's complete side face and lower chin from 2005 to 2007. More than 15 years later the client sent her a photo: the results are still there.

Questions about chin and face

I tried laser and the hair came back. Will electrolysis work?

Laser reduces hair by targeting pigment, so it often leaves fine, light or grey hairs and hormonal regrowth. Electrolysis treats each follicle directly, whatever its colour. Several of Ramya's clients came to her after laser.

Should I shave before my appointment?

No. Please let the hair grow so Ramya can see and treat it. Avoid plucking or waxing too, because the follicle needs a hair in it to be treated.
