The threading routine adds up
Most people thread their eyebrows and upper lip every two to four weeks. Over ten or twenty years that is hundreds of parlour visits, a lot of discomfort, and a shape that changes with whoever holds the thread. Electrolysis is an investment over a few months that ends the routine.
What years of threading can do
- Thinner eyebrows. Repeated pulling can weaken brow hairs over time. One of Ramya's clients came to her after 20 years of threading had thinned her brows; electrolysis removed only the stray hairs while the brows grew back fuller.
- A shape that drifts. Different parlours, different shapes. With electrolysis the shape is designed once and stays.
- Redness, bumps and ingrown hairs on the upper lip and chin after threading and waxing.
How electrolysis compares
- Treats the root, so the treated hair does not grow back.
- Every hair is chosen by hand, which is ideal for eyebrow shaping.
- Works on fine, white and grey hair that threading keeps chasing.
- Takes a few months of regular sessions, and during that time you stop threading the area so the hairs can be treated.
"Will I have to grow out my brows?"
A little, yes. Ramya needs to see your brow's natural line to plan the shape, and hairs must be present to be treated. Trimming is fine. Most clients find the short in-between stage easy, knowing it is the last time.
